Being a Technical Writer at iManage Means…
You will be part of the iManage Enablement team that delivers and manages content across several mediums to help empower our customers and partners to be successful with iManage products and services.
You are a detail-oriented, dynamic, and self-driven Technical Documentation, Business Process, and Persuasive Writer who will interface with various business leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) across the organization to develop quality product documentation and communications for iManage products and services. You will become an expert on product functionality and design templates for implementation processes.
You will get an opportunity to learn the iManage product suite and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization—including Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Cloud Services, Professional Services, Customer Adoption, User Experience, Support, and R&D—to curate, develop, publish, and maintain learning resources that eliminate friction with product adoption.

iM Responsible For…
- Developing high‐quality product documentation—user guides, installation guides, administration guides, customer success collateral, and so on—by understanding the product purpose, features, and customer business needs.
- Handling documentation and communications independently for multiple products.
- Getting under the hood of the product and developing a complete working knowledge of it by installing, configuring, exploring, and using it.
- Interacting proactively with subject matter experts (for example, R&D team, Product Managers, Support, and so on) to ensure that the product documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and valuable.
- Understanding and adhering to iManage publication standards and processes.
- Curating and mapping content based on the learning journey for various audience personas–for example, product users/knowledge workers, application and system administrators, iManage partners.
- Collaborating with the product team to best deliver proper messaging for product features and functionality.
- Collaborating with other Enablement team members on peer reviews, developing and updating departmental guidelines, and enhancing iManage publication standards and methodologies.
- Thinking of innovative ways to address challenges experienced by customers, partners, support team members, and other internal stakeholders.
- Working with the UI/UX team to create UI text that matches iManage publication standards.
- Contributing to team initiatives.
- Excellent command over the English language.
- Impeccable writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and Attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Experience creating content that appeals and is valuable to targeted audiences.
- Experience creating content for SaaS solutions and a variety of types of software, for example: Cloud services, multi-tier applications, database products including SQL.
- Skills required to organize and synthesize large amounts of complex information from various sources, and work in a fast-paced setting.
- Troubleshooting experience to provide input based on functional application knowledge.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related discipline.
- Relevant experience: 3+ years of technical and persuasive writing experience.
- Working knowledge of any of the following: iManage products, Jira, Confluence, Zendesk.
- Experience working across various business domains, especially including the legal and financial industries.
- A basic understanding of programming to validate documentation (Such as, C/C++, Java, Python RESTful APIs, XML, JSON, and/or HTML).
- Familiarity in managing VMs, Windows, and macOS.
