Being a Staff Software Engineer at iManage means…

You are a passionate Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in building scalable cloud systems. You will be part of a team responsible for building an Azure (AKS) based platform that drives iManage’s modern document management products.

You will participate in the architecture, development, and deployment of critical, large-scale products. We are using modern technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, Storm, Elastic Search, MariaDB Clusters, and more. We are committed to automated CI/CD, zero-touch production infrastructure, and seamless upgrades with no downtime in the cloud. iM responsible for…

• Designing and developing modules and features for the iManage Work family of products in Azure cloud
• Working within cross-functional engineering teams as well as peer teams to build an integrated solution
• Collaborating with product managers to define new features
• Encouraging software engineering best practices (e.g., unit testing, code reviews, design documentation) and related tools like GitHub, JIRA
• Communicating, documenting, and presenting in front of technical and business audiences
• Striving to consistently learn and improve within the company as well as share knowledge with colleagues globally

iM qualified because I have…

• A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 7+ years of experience building scalable distributed systems
• Expert proficiency in Java and extensive experience developing REST API for complex systems. Exposure to full-stack development as a plus
• Working knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes. Familiarity with a public cloud system like Azure or AWS as a plus
• Proficiency with a NoSQL system. Exposure to relational database systems as a plus
• Design skills in one or more key technology areas: high-transaction systems, microservices-based distributed architectures, fault-tolerant designs, data, and system security
• Secure coding and design practices (including threat modeling) as a plus
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and build management within a Cloud/SaaS environment
